Winner of Folk Music Ontario's 2020 "Setting The Stage Award"
March 1-4, 2024
Stream description: Ukulele Orchestra
Looking to increase your “Ukulele Joy Quotient (UJQ)?” Join the Winter Folk Camp Ukulele Orchestra! In this mixed-level class, we will explore how to play together as a group using simple and effective song arrangements. We’ll work on a variety of accompaniment techniques, learn some tips and tricks, smooth out the rough edges, and look at how to integrate your singing with your playing. There will be some fancy parts for those who want extra challenge and easier parts for those who want to focus on the basics. By the end of the weekend, we will all be more competent ukulele players with more tools in our ukulele toolbox, and our UJQ will be off the scale!
