Minor Gold is an award-winning duo formed by Dan Parsons (AUS) and Tracy McNeil (CAN), blending sixth-sense harmonies with sun-dappled folk-rock. Since releasing their critically acclaimed self-titled debut in August 2023, Minor Gold has garnered attention both in their homeland and abroad. Their unique sound—rooted in timeless folk with rich, evocative harmonies—has captivated audiences worldwide, resulting in international tours and standout performances, including supporting The Teskey Brothers across North America. Their growing reputation was solidified with a Folk Award win at the 2024 Queensland Music Awards, cementing them as one of Australia’s most exciting emerging acts.
Known for their heartfelt songs, free-spirited rhythms, and undeniable stage chemistry, Minor Gold’s music evokes the feeling of open roads and coastal canyons. Their live performances have been praised for their “impeccable songwriting and performances” (Double J, ABC Radio), offering a sound that’s both timeless and refreshingly authentic. In early 2024, Minor Gold took a brief pause from touring to record their highly anticipated sophomore album, Way to the Sun, in Glendale, California with producer Dan Horne (Mapache, Cass McCombs). The title track, released in early 2025 earned high rotation on national radio in Australia and garnered over 200,000+ streams in the first weeks of release with placements on major Spotify and Apple Music playlists.
Minor Gold will tour North America in Spring/Summer 2025, followed by a full Australian album tour in September.
